School can not teach children and adolescents everything they need for a self-determined and successful life. For this reason, school and non-school institutions network in the Basel educational landscapes and work together. Their collaborations result in wide offers in the various quarters of Basel with participants such as libraries or ludotheques, with leisure activities such as children’s choirs, Robi-play-actions or the scouts.
In order to develop a visual image for the educational landscape Bläsi, SUAN gave a workshop for interested children during the project days of the primary school Bläsi, to create a logo and imagery with their help. Using soap bubble technique, the children created abstract images. Imagination and colored pencils helped these pictures become universes, seals, rockets, bees, planets and much more in the next step. From these various templates, we generated 19 planets – the Bläsiversum was created. Each child got their own logo on a postcard and was thus able to understand which part of their picture resulted in the logo.
