Julia Büchel’s dissertation “Representation, Participation, Accessibility – Investigation of Social Integration in Exhibitions” examines the emergence of and demands for social integration in museums and exhibitions. The work subsequently addresses the question of the social role of institutions and participatory exhibition formats.

We keep the layout simple, the typography and typesetting appear in large format and strong contrasts, in order to take accessibility into account also in the book. Footnotes and smaller texts are set in bold, chapter dividers and headings are rotated in order to visually structure the book and break up the layout of the strict editorial design.
