Domicile & Co AG owns and leases furnished apartments in the greater Basel area. Their main target group are expats who need functional but comfortable accommodation for a limited period of time. The tenants prefer their own, quiet four walls and the feeling of “coming home” to a hotel accommodation. Domicile – at home abroad.
The challenge in developing the branding was to build on the existing design elements and combine the value of hospitality with the business context. The logo is derived from the character asterisk. It is often used in writing for distinctions and footnotes. At Domicile, this established meaning is transferred to the company’s performance, underscoring the industry’s unusually high level of service, appreciated by its guests and reflected in the booking figures. The red element used in the asterisk, incorporates the roof from the previous logo and gives the picture mark a high recognizability.
Domicile’s living spaces are presented to the user through a bright, inviting imagery. The photo shoot took place in one of their properties in Basel: The pictures show the apartment in use. Apart from this image section, the rest of the website is kept very informative.
